Envelopes [Irkutsk]. 225 years to the Irkutsk regional study of local lore museum

Description: The Irkutsk regional study of local lore museum ("��") is based in December, 1782 under the initiative of Irkutsk governor F.Klichki in area of the Tikhvin (Kirov) area. In 1854 � the museum has been transferred in conducting the Siberian department of Russian geographical society (based in 1851).In 1879 in Irkutsk has happened the fire which has destroyed the most part of city, including a building of a museum and more than 22 thousand unique exhibits, the richest library totaled more of 10 thousand of books � was lost. Solemn opening of a building of a new stone museum took place. On October, 6th, 1883 (architect G.V.Rozen). Experts name this building of the Irkutsk study of local lore museum the moorish lock. In provincial Russia some constructions executed in moorish style were kept all. Such structures are more likely characteristic for the south of Spain and especially the Countries of northern Africa - Morocco, Tunis, that is the countries of Maghrib where there lived moors. During ò1ò-XX centuries in a museum �� various collections from B.Dybovskogo, V.Godlevskogo, I.Cherskiogo, A.Chekanovskogo, N.Vitkovskogo, A.ShChapova, G.Potanina, R.Maaka, D.Klementsa, N.Jadrintseva, I.Lopatina, P.Kropotkina, N.Bobyrja, L.Jachevskogo, J.Prejna, V.Obrucheva, I.Savenkova, M.Gerasimova, A.Okladnikova, F.Kudrjavtseva's expeditions and others.One more unique feature of this building - on its frieze names of all scientists which have anyhow brought the contribution to studying Siberia are beaten out. He is Bering, Gmelin, Pallas, Georges, Miller,Wrangell, Gumbold, Middendorf, Kraschennikow, Messerschmidt and so forth It is the first galaxy of scientists, whose names on stone boards have been placed at once at construction of a building.In 1901 when 50 anniversary �� was marked, it has been added six more surnames - Turchaninow, Maksimovich, Maak, Prezevalskiy, Cherskiy, Nordenscheld. In 60th years there was a board devoted ��, and in 2007 name Kolchak has been immortalized. Now the structure of a museum includes 6 scientific departments: a department of history, a department of the nature, an exhibition department, a department of funds,information department, library. Employees of a museum continue traditions of the predecessors.
